David Hooper

David is a doctor with a nursing background. He completed his training in both degrees in Adelaide at Flinders University, graduating from medical school in 2010. He is a prevocational trainee in emergency medicine with particular interests in retrieval medicine, clinical governance and medical education. Bobby Li

Bobby Li has graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Biomedicine, majoring in pharmacology. He attained a GAMSAT overall score of 83, which is in the 100th percentile, while attaining the maximal section score of 100 in section III: Reasoning in Biological and Physical Sciences. Daniel Holt

Dan Holt holds a Masters in chemistry from Cambridge University and is on the verge of submitting his PhD thesis. He has worked on research into enzyme inhibition (pro-vitamin B5 biosynthesis) and microfluidic techniques (microdroplet creation and control). He now works as a freelance researcher, tutor, translator and consultant, although he prefers the term ‘highly-trained dogsbody’. He is married with one cat and lives near London. He spends too much of his spare time reading bad spy fiction, and is mildly proud of being in his thirties. He constantly refers to himself in the third person.

Dr. Sudip Ghosh

Sudip is an ENT/Facial Plastic Surgeon with the University Hospital and Medical School of North Wales, Bangor. Currently he holds Fellowships in Otolaryngology and Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons of England as well as Edinburgh, Scotland as well as a MBA with the OUBS, UK in Higher Educational /management. He has extensive experience as a educator, as well as a question setter for the Post-Graduate Medical National Question Bank, UK.

Dr. Julia Moreno

MB ChB , Sheffield University
Originally from Wales in the UK, she studied medicine at Sheffield University where she graduated in 2002. She spent the next 2 years working in Sheffield and then in New South Wales, Australia. After several clinical medical jobs in various hospital specialties, she decided to focus on international health and health education. She now facilitates training for health professionals who want to work in less resourced environments. This has involved a lot of medical work in different nations and she loves that component of what she does. Her greatest aim is to work towards equality in healthcare in every nation. She currently lives in Perth, Australia with her husband Joe, and her two beautiful children Ethan and Jade.

Anita Saunders

Anita graduated from the University of Southern Queensland with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, History and Psychology and a Graduate Certificate in Editing and Publishing. She works as a freelance editor/proofreader and lives in Brisbane, Queensland with her husband and two daughters.

Dr. Tiffany Wilson

PhD ( Biochemistry ) , Emory University
Dr. Tiffany Wilson spent most of her life in the Bahamas before moving to Athens, GA where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Georgia in 2004. While at UGA, Dr. Wilson completed an Honor’s Thesis in marine biology. In 2010 Dr. Wilson earned her PhD from Emory University, Atlanta, GA in Biochemistry, Cell, and Developmental Biology. Her doctoral research focused on cellular signaling mechanisms in skeletal muscle and diabetes. While in graduate school Dr. Wilson also earned her Toastmasters International certification and is a very accomplished speaker. Dr. Wilson began a clinical chemistry postdoctoral fellowship at Emory University in 2010 and was board certified by the American Board of Clinical Chemists in 2011. Her research interests during this fellowship included health equity for transgender patients, hemoglobinopathies, and molecular markers of B-cells. In 2012 Dr. Wilson will begin a second clinical postdoctoral fellowship in transplant immunology at Emory University.

Allan Gao

PhD ( Biological Systems Engineering ) , Washington State University
Allan Gao is a Ph.D candidate in the Biological Systems Engineering department at Washington State University. He received his B.S. in Biochemistry at Washington University in St. Louis and M.S. Biological Systems Engineering from Washington State University. He has worked with Blankenship Lab Group and more recently for Youtell Biochemical as a Research Associate. He has extensive experience in both writing and editing research papers and journal articles. Currently, he resides in Pullman, WA while attending school, and enjoys tennis and running in his free time.

Guadalupe Rahm

MA ( English literature ) , California State University
Guadalupe (Pita) Rahm is an academic writer, retired university professor, former director of university quality assurance, and technical writer with an impressive track record. She wrote the 2000-2004 Handbook, including all program and course descriptions, for University of Belize, and has completed several extensive social research projects for United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), United Nations Development Fund (UNDP), Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and numerous government and NGO agencies in Belize. One of her specialties as a writer is the ability to make complex material accessible and interesting to lay readers.
In her twenty years as an educator, Pita taught English, literature, logic, Spanish, journalism, and English-as-a-second-language at the adult and university levels. As former director of quality assurance, she is also highly trained in international academic transfer criteria, accreditation standards, and critical thinking. She has written several operational manuals, user-friendly curriculum guides, and on-line GAMSAT courses. As a perfectionist and aficionado of logic, Pita excels at understanding and explaining the nuances of GAMSAT verbal reasoning questions and GAMSAT essay writing skills. She also marks for online GAMSAT preparation courses.
Pita holds an MA in English from California State University, Stanislaus. She currently resides in Belize, Central America where she works as a academic consultant and technical writer. She loves her consulting work as each new job poses a new critical thinking challenge, and thinking critically is her hobby!

Keith Hay

MA ( English Literature and History ) , University of Edinburgh
Keith was born 1972, in Edinburgh, Scotland. He grew up in Edinburgh and graduated in 1994 from the University of Edinburgh with a MA Hons degree in English Literature and History.
Shortly after graduating, Keith moved to South Africa, where he lived for 11 years. 6 of those years were spent teaching English and History at St Mary’s Diocesan School for Girls, Pretoria.
Keith married a South African girl in 2004, and they both moved to Scotland in 2005. He is currently employed as an English and Media Studies teacher at Linlithgow High School, West Lothian.
He has two sons (aged 4 and 16 months)

Rachel Danks

After graduating from the University of Durham with a first-class degree in Chemistry, and then from the University of Nottingham with a PhD in Biochemistry, Rachel began her career within the pharmaceutical industry. Rachel has worked with Sanofi (now sanofi aventis) and Medical Action Communications (formerly part of the Quintiles group). With close to 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as a first-class academic background, she has the knowledge and understanding to write, edit and comment on a wide range of medical subjects.

Paulette studied sociolinguistics and social anthropology at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, and medical anthropology at University College London, UK. Having travelled widely and lived and worked for many years in London, Paulette now lives in Perth, Western Australia.
